TONIGHT: Academy Award Winning Film Editor Walter Murch to Speak to Speak at JHU!

JHU’s Film and Media Studies program will host a talk by three-time Academy Award winning sound designer and film editor Walter Murch (BA, ’65), “From Malaparte to the Multiverse: the physics of poetry and the poetry of physics,” on Monday, March 24th at 7:30 pm in Hodson Hall Auditorium (110).

Murch, whose sound and editing work on film includes THE GODFATHER trilogy, APOCALYPSE NOW, THE ENGLISH PATIENT, and the upcoming TOMORROWLAND, will talk about his translation of Curzio Malaparte’s short stories into poetry as well as his work on the acclaimed documentary PARTICLE FEVER, which follows six physicists on the cusp of the greatest scientific discovery of all time.
