MFF 2014 Update: Tent Village in New Station North Location!

The Tent Village will be located in the west lot of MICA’s Studio Center, between the Studio Center (above) and Joe Squared, on the 100 block of North Avenue.

The sixteenth annual Maryland Film Festival (May 7-11) is less than two months away and we are thrilled to begin unveiling some of the new and exciting elements that MFF 2014 will have in store! Today we’re happy to announce that the Maryland Film Festival Tent Village will have a new home on the 100 block of North Avenue in the west lot of MICA’s Studio Center, located between the Studio Center (one of this year’s new festival venues, pictured above) and the delicious Joe Squared restaurant and bar.

The Tent Village, free and open to the public, is the hub of the festival and hosts our Filmmaker Panels and Workshops (sponsored by the Maryland Film Office), Central Box Office, Filmmaker’s Lounge, Friends of the Festival table, and Merchandise Tent, as well as delicious food options from Golden West Cafe. It will also be the site of our popular Closing Night Party on Sunday 5/11 where closing night ticket holders and All-Access pass holders can dine and unwind with filmmakers, patrons and guests. In addition to this, we will be offering FREE OUTDOOR SCREENINGS in the Tent Village this year – so you’ll definitely want to stop by! Stay tuned – we’ll be announcing more special events and programs in the Tent Village, all free and open to the public, in the coming weeks!

We’re thrilled to be expanding our footprint in the thriving Station North Arts District, a beacon for the arts community in Baltimore and home to a growing number of new restaurants, galleries, music venues and businesses. Stay tuned for more updates about special deals for 2014 film festival attendees at local establishments like Liam Flynn’s Ale House and MFF 2014 festival venue, the WindUp Space.
