Maryland Film Festival’s 2011 films (and for that matter a few from ’09 and ’10) are getting a ton of year-end love from top film critics and film websites, in addition to scoring a number of awards nominations and wins!

MEEK’S CUTOFF leads the year-end charge with 29 major TOP TEN LIST appearances. UNCLE BOONMEE… is a close second with 23 appearances. The top 5 are rounded out by THE INTERRUPTERS (16 inclusions), NOSTALGIA FOR THE LIGHT (15 inclusions) and WEEKEND (13 inclusions).

WEEKEND won two British Independent Film Awards (Most Promising Newcomer for star Tom Cullen and Best Achievement in Production.

THE INTERRUPTERS won the Chicago Film Critics’ award for Best Documentary
NOSTALGIA FOR THE LIGHT won the Toronto Film Critics‘ award for Best Documentary
ROBERT LONGSTREET (CATECHISM CATACLYSM, SEPTIEN and THE OREGONIAN) won the Silver Nail Award for acting from the Hammer To Nail blog.
