Gunky’s Basement Season 2 Continues with
David Cronenberg’s VIDEODROME
presented by Dan Deacon & Jimmy Joe Roche

35mm print for $5!
Tuesday, October 25 · 9:00pm – 11:00pm
The Charles Theater
1711 N. Charles St.
Baltimore, MD
Gunky’s Basement Season 2 continues with David Cronenberg’s 1983 mindmelter VIDEODROME! Long Live the New Flesh!
As always with this series, it’s a 35mm print on the largest screen at The Charles for just $5, hosted by Dan Deacon and Jimmy Joe Roche!
VIDEODROME stars James Woods and Deborah Harry. From wiki: “Set in Toronto during the early 80s, it follows the CEO of a small cable station who stumbles upon a broadcast signal …featuring extreme violence and torture. The layers of deception and mind-control conspiracy unfold as he uncovers the signal’s source and loses touch with reality in a series of increasingly bizarre and violent organic hallucinations.”
GUNKY’S BASEMENT is the ongoing collaboration between Maryland Film Festival and curators/hosts Dan Deacon and Jimmy Joe Roche. Here is our upcoming line-up for 2011, with more titles coming in 2012:
October 25–VIDEODROME (David Cronenberg)
November 29–DUNE (David Lynch)
December 13–GROUNDHOG DAY (Harold Ramis)
All are 35mm prints, 9pm at the Charles, for just 5 bucks!
Updates plus contests for free tickets and movie posters over at the Gunky’s Facebook fan page!
